Daily Make Up

I was asked on Tumblr to show you guys what make up I use. If you have any recommendations for what you want to hear leave a comment and I'll get writing!

I don't see myself as somebody who uses expensive make up. The majority of what I use is high-street and/or affordable. This post consists of what I tend to use daily so if you're interested keep reading.

Foundation for me is always such a struggle, I used to use Mac's Studio Sculpt but it started to make my skin quite spotty so on the hunt for something lighter I was introduced to No7's Stay Perfect. I love this foundation, where they colour match your skin for you the coverage is great. It's light and spreads really well (lasting a long time too). It's also super cheap currently priced at £14.50. If you want a light weight foundation that covers your blemishes without highlighting them, I'd recommend this to you, however it does get a little oily. To cover up blemishes and perfect my skin I use Make Up For Ever Full Cover Extreme Camouflage Cream which works wonders. It is oil free and long lasting so where my foundation is quite oily this somewhat mattifies(????) it. It sells at a very reasonable £21.00, I absolutely love it and would recommend it to everyone. (Not in this photo) but for my concealer I use Collection's Lasting Perfection in Fair as it's the palest concealer I've ever found and it's super cheap selling at £3.99.

I'm a lover of Sleek, I think it's super affordable and just in general a great brand. I have the Brow Kit in Dark and I absolutely adore it. I tend to only use the creme though as I don't think the powder works as well. This little kit comes equipped with two little brushes and mini tweezers which are all very handy and usable. I also use their i-Lust palette which is really lovely. The colours are glittery which I am LOVING at the moment, I tend to use the creme based colours as a somewhat base and then apply the glitter shadows on top so it stays on for much longer. My newest Sleek palette is an Eye & Cheek palette A Midsummer's Dream which includes Sunrise Blush, Suede Blush and Au Naturel i-Devine. The eye colours look as if they are browns but they are actually purples, and although this annoyed me at first the colours are very lovely and work very well together.

I think every girl should own at least one Naked palette (if you are into this kind of thing), this little one (Naked 2 Basics) is one of my favourites as it is what it is, basic nude shades and very reliable. I love a matte eye so this is perfect for an everyday subtle taupe/nude look.

For my cheeks I use Benefit's Hoola bronzer for I guess, a 'contour' and then Seventeen's Instant Glow Shimmer Brick. I've used this for a few years now and it still works a treat. It is a mix of a blush and bronzer and does make your face 'glow' which is marvelous.  

Benefit's They're Real mascara is my ALL time favourite. It is a huge pain to remove however the results are always incredible. £19.50 is quite pricey however I do think it's worth it for the incredible results and the length that the product lasts.

LIPS! I wear the same lipstick every, single, day. It's Mac's Satin lipstick in Spirit. I absolutely love it. However I think where I honestly wear it everyday, when I do try a new shade out I instantly don't like it. Satin are very long wearing and my personal favourite Mac lipstick finish. If you're looking for a darkish, brown nude shade for your lips I would recommend this. I usually tend to use Topshop's Ceramic lip liner but it does look lovely with a dark brown liner too.

Lush Haul

I've been a Lush customer for as long as I can remember. I pretty much only like having a bath if I have a bath bomb to come in with me. After receiving some lovely bits for Christmas, I thought I'd treat myself to some more, and, as per usual I am delighted with the purchases I made.

Dragon's Egg

I loved this fun filled bath bomb with colourful confetti, my one critique is the water colour left is golden/yellow which leaves me feeling uncomfortable as it looks like I'm bathing in very strong (yet nice smelling) wee, a few Lush bath bombs create yellow/orange water but  nevertheless I am ALWAYS satisfied. It has a very citrus fresh smell which is lovely, leaving you feel very clean and relaxed. 

Karma

I haven't used karma yet but I have heard great things about it, what's not to love about a soak in a glittery purple bath? What I love about bubble bars is that you can get more than one bath out of it, I reckon I could have about  three baths with using Karma as it is quite large. This bubble bar is quite zesty, smells very clean with a hint of patchouli which is very fresh. I'm very excited to use this.

Intergalactic

I saw this bath bomb on Instagram and fell in love. It kind of reminded me of the 'Experimenter' bath bomb but a more pretty version as I'd much prefer to bathe in blue glitter rather than the greenish colour the experimenter left me with. I loved this galactic treat. The peppermint and popping candy works exceptionally well together creating an ''80's aftershave'' scent that I absolutely adore. You leave the bath feeling soft, smelling divine and shimmering with glitter. It's a must have.

Soft Coeur

This massage bar is such a beauty, I am a lover of a sweet smell. I've loved it for endless years, my mum has used it for the majority of my existence and it smells like a dream. A sweet creamy vanilla, toffee, cocoa scent that soften your skin and leaves you smelling heavenly for hours. Every time I visit Lush I get my friend to give me an arm massage using it. I absolutely love it and recommend it greatly to you all.

Eau Roma Water

My sister introduced this product to me and I am so glad she did. The Rose water calms the skin and reduces redness (which I NEED), whist the lavender water softens the skin. This is great to use before moisturising to start the day and great for removing access make up at the end of the day. This product is so great a few spritzes of this completely freshens up my face and really does work a treat, it smells beautiful and makes you feel awake. I recommend you try this.

Beauty

I've always had thoughts on this. I love how beauty is defined in so many different ways. People can be beautiful, weather, cars, music. People see beauty in different things. I like that, I like how somebody's face can be the most beautiful thing I've ever seen but then so are flowers, so is food I've eaten, you know? I like how you can smell beauty, feel it, touch it, see it. There is endless forms of beauty. Light is beautiful, the changing of seasons is beautiful, colours, feelings, halloumi, love, laughter, words... There is so much in beauty and it goes often unnoticed. 

There is beauty in every where, again like love, I think we disregard it. It's over looked and certainly not appreciated enough. Everything has beauty, it's just not everybody sees it. There's beauty in so much. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. It's something that "pleases the aesthetic senses". Similarly to perfection, everybody's perception of it is different, and I love that. I love how people find beauty in different things that other people would pay no attention to. I love how I could think somebody is the most beautiful person I've ever laid eyes on, but to somebody else it could be just another face. ''One man's trash is another man's treasure'' people can be intoxicated by beauty, and I love that.

Hello 2016

And goodbye 2015.

Entering 2016 with tonsillitis has not been ideal but it didn't stop me from spending my new years eve with the greatest of friends. I couldn't of spent it with better people, even though a tequila shot definitely nearly killed me and getting picked up by weird foreign people was bizarre. I ended a somewhat crappy year with my best friends getting roaring drunk, getting a little emotional at midnight and screaming the very few lyrics of 'Auld Lang Syne' that I actually know.

I don't do New Years resolutions, nobody ever seems to ever keep them and I don't think the entering a new year justifies a change, I mean if you want to do something different or new you can do it whenever you want, but that's just me. I can't think of a year when I've actually had one and don't think I ever will.

I had very high hopes for 2015, I made some great memories, saw so many incredible music artists, finally left education, fell out of love, fell in love, went on holiday with my lifelong best friend, work with a bunch of lovely people, went on our annual trip to Disneyland, went to Belgium, started this blog and met new people. I am very lucky and very thankful for all this. I keep these little yearly diaries with 365 pages, in which everyday I write a little something down, then, at the end of the year I read through to see what happened. This year it was a little book of negativity. It is so crap the bad days overrule the goodness in my life. Although there was so much beauty in 2015 there was shed loads of awfulness, that I don't really want to express on here. 

2015 went so fast, It was over in a flash. Here are some of my favourite memories of the year.

Ed Sheeran @ Wembely.

Honestly, some days I forget that I've seen Ed live. This day was so surreal. I had a nightmare with the tickets, I remember about a week before I realised that they had not arrived, after turning the house upside down I checked my conformation email only to see that I had incorrectly typed in my postcode. Worst. Day. Ever. Luckily it was all sorted out and we didn't miss out on one of the most incredible experiences of my life. Still feels too good to be true. Every concert I went to in 2015 blew my mind, Saint Raymond, The Vamps, Catfish and the Bottlemen, Honne and The 1975 some even twice, I had a great year for music and nothing makes me happier that hearing the beginning of my favourite song start and me drunkenly screaming 'YES YES YES'. There is nothing better.  

Week in Greece with my best friend

I hardly ever see my best friend anymore since I moved to Kent, so I am so grateful that this actually happened. It was the funnest and most hilarious week of my life. I wouldn't have wanted to go on this trip with anybody but her. Although getting covered in gnat bites and getting absolutely, horrifically drunk every night killed my immune system, it was insane. (Even though it took me about 3 weeks to recover).

Disneyland Paris 

Disneyland Paris is my favourite place in the whole world. I am so thankful for my parents bringing me up returning here every year (bar a few). It is so beautiful and magical. Although it looks like Summer we actually went in December, as per. It wasn't as festive as we hoped as the fake snow fell down with the brightest blue sky we'd ever seen. But it was incredible, there were queues no longer than 5 minutes, an employee actually traded one of his trading pins with me (first time in 6 years!!!!) and from the second we arrived I was the happiest girl in the world. I just fucking love it.
